The nursery accommodates 40 babies and children from 0-5. It comprises two playrooms with a dining area between. These spaces face south and get additional daylight from clerestory glazing along the north side. A deep roof overhang shades the spaces from summer sun and provides a sheltered play area. Natural light is sufficient to avoid the need for electric lighting for most of the year and gives the play spaces a restful, pleasant atmosphere.
