Saltire Centre shows that
the open space provision of multiple teaching and learning
styles can be very effective in higher education too.
In this space a multiplicity of approaches are supported,
all effective in different circumstances, from focussed
individual endeavour to relaxed collegiate discourse.
Quiet intimate debate and tutorial activity can be "sheltered" from
the bustle by the inflatable cubicles! Good design
and appropriate materials make this a social, but remarkably
un-noisy area for study. |
