Building
science labs that allow
the full range of learning styles
and teaching techniques is not easy. Health and safety
compete
against agility. Here, sinks and their
pedestals, with gas taps, comprise the absolute minimum
of fixed equipment. Even the benches adjacent to the
gas taps can be moved or tessellated to allow the most
effective learning spaces to be quickly configured,
safely. Safety dictates that science teaching is difficult
to locate in generalist open spaces, but this agile
approach works well instead. |
