Stepping
Stones is a specialist
school for children with hemiplegia. Housed in a purpose-converted
old chapel it opened with two students and is already
highly effective with a current role of just five.
At the heart of the school is technology allowing the
children to work with, present to, and exchange with,
learners all over the world. Tiny details matter. For
example the curved edges of the worktops here seem to
generate quite intimate work in the concave sections
but more gregarious work when the children sit at the
convex edges. |
