In Thailand family learning is valued and encouraged. TK Park, the Thai Knowledge Park sits atop a shopping mall in Bangkok and is open for all ages whenever the shops are open. TK Park uses design to encourage active learning (for example stages to present video work) and is very popular. A broad diversity of learning is supported there. This library area has proved a hit with young readers who need to climb up to access the books they want to read. The tough books are at the top, crash mats are at the bottom!
