3 clear reasons why we need ubiquitous symmetrical broadband communication...
...for students, parents, teachers and learners everywhere.
..and if anybody tells you: "it's all content driven", or "Prestel and Ceefax were good ideas, this Internet thing is just the same", or "businesses need symmetrical communications, children and households mostly need to receive information so don't need symmetry" or "video on demand trials didn't work because people didn't get the choices they wanted quickly enough" or "why should people want broad bandwidth out of their homes?" or any other errant nonsense remind them:
- of why telephones, the Internet, CB radio, dtp, cellphones and Minitel took off when videodisc players and CDi didn't;
- that people are active not passive socially;
- that learning is through doing not through watching;
then, quickly ensure that you are holding no shares in their companies and bid them farewell...
