So... if you spend money on education - on buildings, or ICT for example - then what should get better? This makes for a very good debate anywhere that people who care about learning are gathered together!

Architects often can be very precise about the energy that is lost, and the costs that result, if a school is designed badly. But they never seem to know how much learning might "leak away" if design is poor... It's the same with ICT. So, in this preliminary stage of Learnometer project here are some of the outputs that governments and policy makers have aspired too. It a much longer list that just "exam passes" or "% university entrance" isn't it...
