Action research for ICT in the classroom

who can contribute?

This is a collection by teachers for teachers; it also offers a chance to celebrate your successes. Although the system is open for both contribution and exploration we need to know that contributors really are teachers (and not salespersons, for example, trying to over-egg their products). There are checks in place therefore which include contributors needing to know their teachers' registration number and offering a contact who can confirm (for example in a spot check) that the work reported is authentic. This is troublesome for contributors but adds immeasurably to the authenticity and reliability of the data in the collection. We hope you will agree that the trade-off is worthwhile, especially when as a contributor you receive your certificate of action research.

You may choose whether to offer an email address and whether you wish it to be offered to some or all the visitors exploring this collection: if you have an email and are willing to take the occasional question about your use of ICT you can choose to restrict this opportunity only to the collection administration team at Ultralab, or make it available to all guests visiting this collection.

Not listed above? You can still contribute and your ideas are most welcome, but processing your proof of teacher identity will take a little time. Please mail us at: teacherID@ultralab.net and we'll take it from there...

Giving your email address:

We need your email, if you have one, to be able to contact you about your contribution (for example to say thank you) but there are three options you may wish to consider for your email. You can change your preferences for this at any time, of course, if you remember your teachers' registration number:

option A:
will keep your email address confidential and reveal it only to the collection administrators at Ultralab;

option B:
will post your email with your contribution but make it only available to those teachers who have also completed a contribution to the collection;

option C:
will post your email with your contribution for everyone visiting the site to see;

With option B and C, all messages posted to you via the site will be titled "enquiry about your ICT action research" so that you will know what they are before you open them. It will also be clear that whilst you appreciate feedback you will only answer some, but probably not all, of the email responses to your research.
