The Area
Brightlingsea is a small town located midway between Clacton and Colchester. The area is known as the Tendring Peninsula and although accommodation within Brightlingsea itself is limited it is a holiday coast and there is ample, reasonably priced, holiday accommodation (often with beaches close by!) within the Clacton and Colchester areas. Clacton is 9m from Brightlingsea and Colchester is 8m. Parking at BSC is ample and is free. The road between the 3 towns is relatively traffic free and buses run from both Colchester and Clacton to Brightlingsea

Point Clear
Although 15 minutes drive, Point Clear is within sight of Brightlingsea and offers the best views of the sailing course. A two minute ferry trip across the estuary BSC will run a ferry service from Point Clear directly to BSC from early in the morning until 11.00pm every day of the championship and on the five days preceding the championship
The site is very well resourced and caravans for hire do have showers, toilets, kitchens etc. Do explain why you are booking and ask to be near the ferry to Brightlingsea or you could have a long walk at the Point Clear end!
