Although Germans don't seem to spend a lot of time talking about the weather, it's a useful topic for keeping a conversation afloat. Learn a set of phrases to fall back on!
Transport
German public transport is generally very reliable, and you can expect trains to be very punctual, even in extreme weather. One thing to beware of: if you're travelling in winter in snowy conditions, be mindful that the snow may mask the sound of a vehicle or even a train arriving - you need to be extra vigilant.
