Listen and read aloud
Brief

Now trying speaking the language out loud - you may want some privacy for this, but it can help to work with a partner.
  1. Print out the Pronunciation Guide.
  2. Print out the Scripts if necessary.
  3. Download the Movies if necessary.
  4. Select Listen and read aloud.There is an automatic pause before each person speaks. In that moment, read the phrase out loud from the screen or script, trying to play the part. Work hard on your pronunciation and intonation. (Need help? Use the Pronunciation Guide.)
  5. Listen to the dialogue to check.
  6. Get emotional! Once you feel confident with your pronunciation, decide whether to sound angry, happy, worried or persuasive! The phrases may stick in your mind better!
  7. If you can, work with a partner and swap roles.
